After getting done with our event related work at RK Salai, we were bloody damn hungry. I suggested my partner that we can goto Eatza, and relish our stomachs with unlimited pastas, but she suggested we go to some veg restaurant as my stomach was not in a good condition for the past 2 days. And when we were looking for some decent restaurants around the place, this place Nivethanam Veg International caught our sights.
The name sounded more veggie and after ten mins of serious consideration and thinking outside the gate of the restaurant, we decided to walkin.
Still not convinced of our choice, we decided to check the menu before taking our seats.
Though the ambience was well decorated, the service was too slow. We had to wait for 45 mins for getting the food delivered.
The taste of the food was not satisfactory.
1.Lassi - was more watery, you can get a better lassi even in a normal road side shop.
2. Butter naan - I was trying to convince myself very hard that it was not a Parratta, but still after hard convincing I could even find a small bit of butter on the paratta, sorry, the naan (that's what they claim it to be)
3. Kadaai Panner masala - the quantity is too less that we couldn't even finish 2 butter naans with the served quantity. This is the first time I'm ever experiencing this, because as far as I can remember, I have always ordered an additional naan or two just to complete the paneer masala in all the other restaurants I have been to. And the worst part is that the panner tasted as if not properly mixed with the masala, and I felt even an amateur could just take a masala and paneer seperately and just pour the paneer into the masala and serve them.
4. Tofu phuka style - the same kinda feel and taste as in the Kadaai panner masala.
Overall verdict:
Ambience - 4 / 5
Service - 1 /5
Delivery speed - 0 / 5
Taste - 1 / 5

Since I was not ready to go for the veg meals, I decided to take a safer bet in choosing the lunch menu for us. I decided to go with my usual lunch order, ie., butter naan and paneer butter masala. My partner ordered a Lassi for my troubled stomach and we ordered butter naan and a kadaai panner masala instead of a paneer masala, and a Tofu Phuket style.
