Review - New Yorker

This is the second post regarding my awesome foodie sunday. The review of New Yorker that's located on KNK Road, Chennai.

This one has been pending for weeks now.. Located on the knk road, opposite to the art studio and above the Delhi highway, is easy to spot.

The best part is you can enjoy from Mexican to Indian cuisine with a "Pure-Veg" label. For a newbie in Chennai, this place is in heart of Chennai and easily approachable by public and private transport. The food provides good value for money. Some dishes are little hyped-up like nachos but the New Yorker specialties lies in its Pizza. In nutshell, New Yorker is a good value for money hangout place for group of friends.

As we both are die-hard fans of pastas, we settled for a Penne / spaghetti arabiata & a penne alfredo.

For the readers benefit:
Penne / spaghetti arabiata - penne with spring onions, olives, capsicums in a special tomato sauce

penne alfredo - penne with with ball peppers, sundried tomamtoes, onions in a cheese & cream sauce

Both the pastas were really yummy and delicious and the best part was they were damn saucy which we damn loved it.

We then ordered a Channa Bhatura, as I have been trying to taste it for the past 2 weeks. When the Bhatura was served, I was a bit disappointed as All I got was 2 small Bhaturas. But to my delight and surprise, The service person then came with a plate of big bhatura and told us its the Chef's compliment for us. All my friend could find on my face was a big smile all over my face.

As i was much excited and happy about the compliment and the transition from disappointment to the state of happiness, I made sure I thanked Chef Ganpath for the compliment and we left the place.

It costed around 900, which given the location, ambience, service, taste and variety, I feel is quiet good Value for money.

Ambience - 4/5.
Service - 4/5.
Food - 4/5.
Pricing - 4/5.
Location - 5/5.
Parking - Valet.
