Review - the old madras baking company

This is a follow up post to my previous post that I wrote yesterday. Though it was planned several days ago, I got up only by 7.30 and had to rush up to the Old Madras Baking company, that's located at TTK Road, Alwarpet. All because that I was told that the croissants baked when the shop opens will be buttery and delicious.

The place is designed in such a way that you can grab a quick bite. The outlet just has one large table with 6 chairs. The whole place is furnished with wooden planks which gives it a real classic look. The moment you enter the place, be prepared to get welcomed by the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries.

OMBC sells a lot more than just bread and baked goods. They have packaged jams, relish, pickles, good quality vanilla extract, ginger beer, root beer etc!! They also sell ham, bacon, salami and many meats which are hard to find in chennai.

What we ordered :
1. My friend suggested me to try the butter croissant which she ordered 5 no's and generously gave me one after a long time persuasion of mine. And man, yea, it was butterly delicious.

2. Chocolate Croissants - the same taste as of the buttered ones, but the chocolate, it was yummu and it melted in the mouth. Loved it.

3. Ginger beer- I couldn't try this yet, as its packed and hidden somewhere by my friend. Will sure post about it the moment I get my hands on it.

Bill - around 500₹.

Overall 4.5
Ambience 5
Food 4.5
Service -4
